Do you have a blog or a place where you could elaborate? If not...

If you have photos and can explain what you did, I would be glad to post a side note on this blog so I and/or others could learn from you.

Thanks also for the thoughts on air movement, I've been wondering whether pushing or pulling would be best and was leaning instinctively toward pushing. Your logic makes sense and confirms what I will do.Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12046305201100618049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8207956939988276448.post-65636362606170751512010-12-06T21:19:53.167-08:002010-12-06T21:19:53.167-08:00SlackerSlackerAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13066345754899883991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8207956939988276448.post-41086833476431012122010-12-04T05:18:01.380-08:002010-12-04T05:18:01.380-08:00Hi Mel,
Congrats on your nice blogg and interestin...Hi Mel,
Congrats on your nice blogg and interesting project.
I push the air through rather than pull it, it seems less likely to draw air through a path of least resistance which may bypass some of the tubing.
A differential thermostat is a good option for controlling the fan. I couldn`t find one for sale so i made my own. If you can find one that automatically reverses the sensors, it can turn on the fan if the soil temperature is warm enough to provide heat to the air (heating mode)or store heat when the air is warmer than the soil (cooling mode).

The heating/cooling switching threshold on mine is controlled by an additional thermostat. It automatically switches the system between heating and cooling modes based on the control thermostat setpoint.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10102596148390006226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8207956939988276448.post-4493239132540494302010-11-10T18:39:02.236-08:002010-11-10T18:39:02.236-08:00Hello Mel,

Looks like you will have one years data ahead of me.

Like you, I found inadequate info, like you I am cataloguing the experience to share with other future gardeners.

I did a preliminary test on above ground "tub", none air-tight hoop "tub". Data is very promising. Using that data to modify the 'Pit" that I am working on. Will add info to web later.

Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more of your post.

Your fellow gardener,

Michael T. I think I read that the lengths should be kept to around 25 feet and if a bigger building is planned, then you should use additional layouts of the 25 foot lengths and more barrel stations.Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12046305201100618049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8207956939988276448.post-54920877304498882182010-10-30T08:46:25.582-07:002010-10-30T08:46:25.582-07:00AHHHH Glad that all worked out for you! This morning, another lady from FarmTek called after my email about the missing regulator, and she is mailing it out, my inflation kit will be complete! Yippi! I was pretty sure that FarmTek was a good company, and I just had a really bad first order, I'll continue to support them with my business cause I'm sure they're doing there best but sometimes things just don't go the way we hope or planned and they doing what they can to fix the problems. Besides that, they have some neat products!
I will know how to check my orders a little more carefully in the future.Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12046305201100618049noreply@blogger.com
